The blustery Kanye West has an impressive new task coming up this year: Writing the theme to the potential blockbuster Mission: Impossible 3. Allhiphop.com reports that Kanye was chosen by the film’s star and producer, Tom Cruise, to pen the theme, as Cruise is a huge fan of West’s work. U2 wrote the theme to the first Mission: Impossible movie in 1996, while Limp Bizkit wrote the theme for the second film in 2000. “We wanted to take this installment of Mission to the next level and Kanye’s music definitely added to accomplishing that goal,” Cruise gushed. “What he’s done with the Mission theme is going to blow people away.”
