Hell Freezes Over: Mascis, Barlow Plan New Dino Album

After twenty years of squabbling and writing bitchy songs about each other, Lou Barlow and J. Mascis have finally made a lasting peace: They’re touring extensively as the reunited Dinosaur Jr. and are writing a new album together. According to the band’s official website, Dinosaur Jr. have mapped a full U.S. tour in March and April after a trip to the South Pacific. The tour will culminate in England for the All Tomorrow’s Parties event, curated by Dinosaur Jr. and featuring the Broken Social Scene, the Brian Jonestown Massacre, fellow fogies Mission of Burma, and Tracy + the Plastics. Dinosaur Jr. will also release their first DVD this summer, which was filmed in NYC during last year’s reunion tour.
