Yeah Yeah Yeahs Drop Their Bones

Perhaps the most anticipated sophomore release from a band in 2006 has a name: The Yeah Yeah Yeahs have named their new album, out March 27 on Interscope, Show Your Bones. Contrary to early rumors falsely proliferated by producer Squeak E. Clean (Spike Jonze’s brother), the new album is not a concept album about Karen O’s cat, Coco. According to NME.com, Karen O claims that the title is a reference to mild electrocution. “Show Your Bones is what happens when you put your finger in a light socket,” Karen said. “We’d like to thank nine-year old anti-genius wonder-kid Drake Barrett for the insight and the life-saver. Titles are hard to come by the older you get.” The first single off of Show Your Bones is called “Gold Lion.”
