Pete Doherty Pleads Guilty

In the never-ending saga that is Pete Doherty’s legal woes, there is a new chapter: The Babyshambles frontman has pled guilty to charges of heroin and cocaine possession. The charges were levied on Doherty last November, when he was pulled over in London and found to be in possession of .875 grams of heroin and .234 grams of cocaine. According to NME.com, after a hearing this morning, Doherty was released on bail and must return to court Feb. 8. Doherty will still play a Babyshambles show tonight in Stoke on Trent as part of a brief U.K. tour in support of the band’s new album Down in Albion. Babyshambles is embarking on these dates without the support of erstwhile guitarist Pat Walden, who recently left the band.
