Silver Jews to Tour

Although the Silver Jews have been making records since the mid-’90s, elusive former Pavement member and Silver Jews frontman David Berman has never graced his fans with a tour — until now. Though Silver Jews have been a mainstay of indie rock for years, their tour sounds more old vaudeville than modern hipster. According to Pitchforkmedia.com, the upcoming Jews tour includes a multimedia stageshow, spoken word by erstwhile Pavement drummer Bob Nastanovich, and so-called “country comedy” by Kevin Guthrie and Corny Crow. Berman’s wife and bandmate Cassie will host the Jews extravaganza. The tour kicks off on March 10 in Athens, Ga., and ends on March 25 in Ann Arbor, Mich.
