The biggest thing to hit Manchester, Tennessee since the cotton gin, Bonnaroo is back for a fifth time over the weekend of June 16-18, 2006. “We work hard between festivals thinking of ways to ensure that each event is better then the one before it, ” says event producer Jonathan Mayers. Not to be outdone by the myriad other festivals with silly names like Vegoose and Bamboozle, Bonnaroo boasts special features like an onsite beer festival, a comedy tent, Internet access, and a Mardi Gras parade. Artists have yet to be announced for the 2006 festival, but the 2005 installment featured Widespread Panic, Modest Mouse, the Mars Volta, Dave Matthews Band, and countless others.
