Chris Cornell Sues Ex-Wife/Manager

Chris Cornell learned a major lesson about dipping his pen in the company ink: The Audioslave frontman is suing Susan Silver, his ex-manager/ex-wife from his Soundgarden days, for misusing his royalty checks and other managerial infractions. E! Online reports that Cornell, who split from Silver in 2002, is asking the Soundgarden manager for over $1 million in lost monies. “The royalties that [Cornell] would otherwise be getting are going to other parties as a result of her animus towards my client,” Cornell’s attorney, Martin Singer, told E! Silver continues to manage Soundgarden even though the band broke up in 1997. Cornell is also looking to get back some personal effects that he claims Silver is hoarding — including two Grammys he won with Soundgarden. Maybe Silver threw them into the Black Hole Sun.
