Penal System Really Wants to Hurt Boy George

Boy George may face up to fifteen years in prison for cocaine possession, according to Billboard.com. The gender bending Culture Club ex-frontman was found with 13 plastic bags of cocaine in his apartment this past Friday. Police searched his apartment in response to Boy George’s call to report a burglary in his NYC apartment. George claims that he has no idea where all the white stuff came from, and posits that the cocaine was left behind by friends. “He’s a very social person,” George’s lawyer, Lou Freeman, told Billboard. “He has a lot of people over to his apartment.” This is not the first time Boy George has had a run-in with illegal substances: He was arrested for marijuana possession in 1986 and has previously admitted to a heroin addiction. Boy George’s arraignment is set for December 19.
