NIN Recruits New Drummer

After original drummer Jerome Dillon had to leave the Nine Inch Nails tour due to a mysterious congenital heart problem (read more), the band has replaced him with veteran Alex Carapetis. Australian Carapetis has worked with Lenny Kravitz as well as a host of Australian acts, Billboard.com reports. Before finding a permanent replacement in Carapetis, drummer Josh Freese filled in for the ailing Dillon at shows in Denver and Salt Lake City. On the band’s official site, lead singer Trent Reznor wrote, “Alex is doing great and fitting in well.” Nine Inch Nails are set to perform tonight at St. Paul, Minnesota’s Xcel Energy Center.
