Meet the Kaiser Fighters

One night after a gig opening for the Foo Fighters on their U.S. tour, Kaiser Chiefs drummer Nick Hodgson and bassist Simon Rix ran into Dave Grohl at a pub near the venue, NME.com reports. After a few drinks, one thing led to another, and Dave joined the pub’s acoustic guitarist on the Foos’ “Everlong.” Soon after, Nick, Simon, and Dave were playing the Chiefs’ hit “I Predict A Riot” for a thrilled crowd, but without the help of Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson. “I’d gone to bed [already],” he told NME. “Yeah, that was the wrong night to take an early night.” Even though he missed out on the show, Wilson still agrees that Dave Grohl is the nicest guy in rock. “People say, ‘Dave Grohl, really nice guy,’ but he genuinely is the nicest guy I’ve met in a long time,” Wilson gushed. You can catch the Foo Fighters on tour in the West Coast for the rest of the month.
