Documentary to Remember Mother Love Bone’s Wood

Andrew Wood, the frontman of the late-’80s Seattle grunge-precursors Mother Love Bone, will be remembered in a documentary. reports that Malfunkshun, which chronicles Wood’s life and musical career until his untimely death at age 24 in 1990 from a drug overdose, will be screened on October 11 and 12 at the FAIF Film Festival in Hollywood. The film is named for a band that Wood also helmed in the days before the Bone. Mother Love Bone is perhaps best known because two of its members, guitarist Stone Gossard and bassist Jeff Ament, went on to form Pearl Jam. The film, by Scot Barbour, premiered in Seattle this past June.
