DMX: Up in Jail

DMX (nee Earl Simmons) pled guilty to violating the terms of his conditional release, says MTV.com. The punishment for violating his conditional release will likely be 40 days at Riker’s Island. The whole rigamarole is a result of a June 2004 incident at JFK airport where DMX allegedly pretended to be a federal agent in order to steal a car. In the court proceedings following the JFK debacle, DMX pled guilty last December to reckless endangerment and was given a conditional discharge. Since last December, DMX has had several run-ins with the law, all vehicular violations including driving with a suspended license and speeding. DMX will be sentenced for these violations on November 17. X’s lawyer, Murray Richman, told MTV, “After those 40 days, everything will be over for him.”
