Cyndi Lauper Just Wants to Unplug

Following in the footsteps of Alanis Morrisette, who recently released an acoustic version of her 1994 hit Jagged Little Pill, Cyndi Lauper will release an acoustic album of all of the hit songs from her 20 year career. The Body Acoustic, due out November 8, will include such hits as “Time After Time, “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” “She Bop,” and “True Colors,” and will feature Sarah McLachlan, Shaggy, and Ani DiFranco on assorted tracks, says Billboard.com. McLachlan will join Lauper on “Time After Time,” while Shaggy appears on “All Through the Night,” and DiFranco helped record “Sisters of Avalon.” This will be Lauper’s ninth full-length album. Her previous album was 2004’s Shine.
