At this point they should be called the Beastie Men, or at least the overgrown Beastie Boys: Ad-Rock, Mike D, and MCA have been making music for 24 years. To commemorate their long-term success in the biz, the Beastie Boys will be releasing a greatest hits CD/DVD package called Solid Gold Hits. The album will include fifteen tracks spanning the entirety of the Boys’ career and will be out on November 8. The DVD portion of the release will have the Beasties’ videos, even the Spike Jonze romp “Sabotage,” from 1994’s Ill Communication. The Boys already issued a box set of hits and rarities, 1999’s The Sounds of Science.
