RHCP, Snoop Headline AmsterJam NYC this Saturday

The first annual mash-up festival known as AmsterJam will take place on August 20 on New York’s Randall’s Island and feature the joyfully clashing sounds of Snoop Dogg and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Garbage and Peaches, 311 and Fat Joe, and several other eclectic combinations of fresh new music. The Heineken-sponsored AmsterJam just announced a last-minute additional mash-up performance featuring Hector El Bambino and Fat Joe. Other acts participating in the AmsterJam Festival include gypsy punks Gogol Bordello, Antibalas, the Brought Low, Fishbone, the Giraffes, Grandmaster Flash, Something for Rockets, Vic Thrill, and Yerba Buena.

Festival organizers suggest taking the NY Waterway ferry to Randall’s Island, the thin strip of land between Manhattan and Queens in the East River; click here for ferry info. To purchase tickets for AmsterJam, Visit Heineken.com or Ticketmaster.com. This weekend’s show is 21+, so bring ID.
