NPR: ‘Mom, Meet Secret Machines’

National Public Radio, the company that in the past has brought bands like Ben Folds Five, Smoosh, and Dressy Bessy to the open ears of your liberal parents via the daily show All Things Considered, has announced an online concert series under the banner All Songs Considered. The show will stream three live concerts from Washington, D.C.’s 9:30 Club in the span of six days starting Saturday, August 6. On August 6, NPR will feature David Gray; on the 7th, Lucinda Williams will perform; on the 11th, the Kings of Leon and Secret Machines will rock the web. Past All Songs Considered concerts have featured Wilco, Bright Eyes, Bloc Party, the Decemberists, and Interpol. Look out, or your mom’s gonna develop the biggest crush on Conor Oberst ever.
