Death Cab Rolls Through North America

In support of their fifth full-length album, Plans, which will be released on August 30, Death Cab for Cutie announced a full-blown North American tour with opening acts Stars and Youth Group. The tour kicks off on October 3 in Vancouver and wraps up in Death Cab’s hometown of Seattle on November 18. The advance buzz on Plans is overwhelming: Fans visiting Death Cab’s MySpace.com page streamed the single “Soul Meets Body” over 200,000 times in its first week on the site. Death Cab will also be on Late Night with Conan O’Brien on September 27.
