Contrary to earlier reports, the Fiery Furnaces will release two albums of new material separately, instead of as a double-disc set as originally planned. Rehearsing the Choir will come out this fall on Rough Trade, while Bitter Tea, described by the band’s website as the “love” record, will be released shortly thereafter. The siblings Friedberger plan to tour the U.S. in support of Rehearsing the Choir, but beyond festival appearances at Austin City Limits on September 24 and October’s Airwaves in Reykjavik, Iceland, no specific dates have been announced.
