    WATCH: Wale Debuts Female-Friendly Video

Washington, D.C., rapper Wale is one of hip-hop's hottest new voices, but in his just-released video for "Diary" he isn't flaunting money, cars, or bling. No sir, the 25-year-old rhyme-sayer is proving he's a considerate sweetheart and a total ladies man. In the clip for "Diary," the third single from his SPIN-approved debut LP Attention Deficit, Wale raps about how a woman's past romances affect how she views new men in her life. Spurned by a gal he's trying to woo, Wale learns that she was burned by a cheating ex and is still feeling that pain.

WATCH: Mumford & Sons Unplugged at SPIN

London's Mumford & Sons play with a unique blend of country, bluegrass, and indie-folk that's quickly turning them into an band to watch -- Blink-182 bassist Mark Hoppus even called them "one of the hottest British bands to cross the pond." Recently, the band stopped by SPIN's New York City HQ to play a two-song acoustic set. The four-piece indie folk phenoms belted out "The Cave," latest single off the band's 2009 debut LP Sigh No More, plus "Untitled," the b-side from the same single. With a banjo, accordion, acoustic guitar, and a double bass -- which they later rolled all by themselves through Lower Manhattan to their gig at the not-so-nearby Bowery Ballroom -- the band easily translated the emotion from their live show to SPIN's intimate offices. Gorgeous four-part harmonies abound, singer/guitarist Marcus Mumford's wailing leads were emotive and powerful.

    EXCLUSIVE: New Japandroids Song!

Guitar-and-drums duo Japandroids are on a roll. After touring relentlessly behind their SPIN-approved 2009 debut Post-Nothing, the band is back with a new 7" single called Art Czars -- and SPIN is exclusively streaming its B-side, "Racer-X." The song was originally released by Illinois noise-punk band Big Black in 1984. For their cover version, the Japandroids up the original's tempo and intensity, resulting in an explosion of fuzzed-out guitar and jack-hammer drum beats. Art Czars is the first of five 7" singles Japandroids will release this year, each of which will include one unreleased song from the Post-Nothing sessions, plus one cover song. SPIN debuted Art Czars earlier this year, and you can order the 7" on the band's official website. Japandroids have been a SPIN favorite since Post-Nothing, which was named No. 16 in our list of the Top 40 Albums of 2009.

LISTEN: Big Boi's Funky New Song

It's not the entire album, but, hey, it is cause for celebration: OutKast's Big Boi has debuted the first single from his chronically delayed solo debut, Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty. "Shutterbug," a heavy, genre-hopping funk jam, has Big Boi showing off the fast-paced and clever rhyming he's known for. Synths and vocoders are layered throughout, and deep bass bounces the song along. The single is the latest in a string of leaks from the album, which Big Boi first began working on three years ago. Sir Luscious has been in release-date purgatory since its first scheduled drop date in 2008. Delays plagued the album -- which was also expected last summer -- but after recently signing with Def Jam, it is now tentatively due a full year later.

    Dr. Dre Confirms Jay-Z Collabo

It's a story made in hip-hop heaven: Dr. Dre and Jay-Z are collaborating on a song called "Under Pressure," a single off the Dr.'s long-awaited record Detox. Dre and Interscope Records honcho Jimmy Iovine officially announced the song before Sunday's Boston Red Sox season opener against the Yankees. The pair stopped by Fenway Park to promote Dre's new Beats headphones, get in a quick round of batting practice, and speak with New England Sports Network about the upcoming single. In the interview, the reporter asked Iovine what his at-bat song would be: "The new song Dre has in his pocket, called 'Under Pressure.' It's a brand new single by Dr. Dre and Jay-Z. That's the song I would use." Dre agreed: "Absolutely, that would be it.

    WATCH: New Weezer Video!

More than 15 years into their career, and Weezer are still pumping out records and smiling a lot, as they do in the new video for Raditude's second single, "I'm Your Daddy." Also typical of Weezer, "I'm Your Daddy" is a radio-ready cut with jock jam guitars and a big chorus that features singer Rivers Cuomo spending a night at the club as he tries to pick up a special lady. (Silly lyrics abound: "You've got the brains, the body, and the beauty / To top it off you're cool"). The video is mostly a montage of live concert footage, replete with rabid fans throwing up their best "W" fingers. A couple of brief cameos from Sydney -- the dog from Raditude's cover -- are thrown in, as well as a few short segments of stick-figure animation simply credited to "Tyler, age 12." Watch the video below, and tell us what you think in the comments. WATCH: Weezer, "I'm Your Daddy"

LISTEN: Two New Broken Social Scene Songs!

It's a special present from our friendly neighbors to the north: Toronto's Broken Social Scene have released two new songs from their upcoming album, Forgiveness Rock Record, out May 4. The tracks -- "Forced to Love" and "All to All" -- showcase two very different sides of the Canadian collective. "Forced to Love" is a fast-paced, riff-heavy rocker with aggressive vocals from frontman Kevin Drew. "All to All," meanwhile, brings the intensity way down, focusing on quiet electronic ambience and gorgeous, airy vocals. This is the second time the band have teased fans with material from their upcoming album.

    LISTEN: Gaslight Anthem's New Single

The Gaslight Anthem made a name for themselves with their gritty take on Bruce Springsteen's working-class rock -- and "American Slang," the just released title track off their upcoming album (out June 15), is no exception. Listen below. The song opens with subdued guitars and a quiet drum beat, then kicks into an arena-filling rock anthem. Meanwhile, frontman Brian Fallon belts out lyrics about reaching for an American Dream that proves unattainable: "They cut me to ribbons and taught me to drown / When it was over I woke up alone / You told me fortunes in American slang." "American Slang is just what we do. That's who we are," Fallon recently told Paste magazine.

    EXCLUSIVE: RJD2 Debuts Psychedelic Video

Ramble John Krohn -- better known as RJD2 -- is a Philly-based DJ-producer whose lengthy career has earned him a spot among underground hip-hop's elite. This year he released The Colossus, which SPIN gave a four-star rating. And now you can check out the exclusive video for "A Spaceship For Now," the latest single from The Colossus. The video tells the story of a crashed flight and its surviving stewardess, who faces the daunting task of escaping the deserted island by building a makeshift plane from whatever she can salvage from the wreckage."What I love about the video is how surreal and weird it is," Krohn says. "It's like a timeline with gaps in it that basically forces you to come up with your own storyline or chronology. Or you can just bug out on the big ambience of the synths.

Jackson's Doctor Pleads Not Guilty to Manslaughter

Eight months after Michael Jackson's death last June, the late star's personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, was charged Monday with involuntary manslaughter for administering the King of Pop a powerful anesthetic that was a major factor in his death, the AP reports. Murray entered a not guilty plea in Los Angeles Superior Court just hours after he was charged. He is currently in custody and is being held on $75,000 bail. Superior Court Judge Keith Schwartz ordered Murray to surrender his passport, but granted the doctor permission to continue practicing medicine as long as he doesn't administer anesthesia, People reports. "I'm talking about deep anesthetic, where you put somebody to sleep," the judge said. "You can be in a room where another doctor is doing it, but you can't do that." The L.A.P.D. and D.E.A.
