Wu-Tang Members Detail New Album Collabo

Wu-Tang Clan members Method Man, Raekwon, and Ghostface Killah have revealed the artwork and tracklist for their upcoming new album, The Wu-Massacre, now slated to drop March 30, Nah Right reports. The album cover art is in the style of a comic book, complete with issue number and barcode, and shows off the three rappers as animated characters. The only thing missing on the cover is a proper name for the trio, who are still on the lookout for a moniker. The trio set up a contest via the Def Jam website last month asking for fan suggestions, promising the winner a mention in The Wu-Massacre's liner notes. In the meantime, the guys aren't letting the lack of a name stop them -- they released the album's first single, "Our Dreams," on iTunes and Amazon earlier this week.

WATCH: Hot Chip Jam with the Roots on 'Fallon'

Electro-pop favorites Hot Chip and hip-hop maestros the Roots teamed up during Thursday night's episode of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to perform two songs off Hot Chip's latest effort, One Life Stand (out February 9): the title track and "Take It In." Watch video of the latter cut below -- it's a web exclusive that didn't make the live broadcast. The band's performing again tonight, this time at a free MySpace Secret Show at Highline Ballroom in New York City. Tickets are being distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and doors open at 7 P.M. Philadelphia-based rockers Free Energy -- one of SPIN's 10 Artists to Watch in 2010 -- will open. Non-locals needn't worry: Beginning at 8 P.M. EST, the entire gig will be streamed online via Hot Chip's MySpace page. Until then, watch Hot Chip with the Roots from Fallon:

    WATCH: New Spoon Video

Whether they're jamming out live during one of Conan's final episodes or recording in the studio, Austin-based Spoon often appear to be the epitome of cool. Latest case in point: The band's new video for "Written in Reverse," the first single off their recently released album, Transference. Check it out below. The black-and-white clip depicts Britt Daniel and Co. in the recording studio, rocking out in front of a large mirror, thus seeing themselves in, well, reverse. The crisply-shot footage complements Spoon's staccato rhythms and sexy bass lines, along with Daniel's raspy vocals. For now, the video serves as a teaser for Spoon's upcoming U.S. tour, which is bookended by gigs at SXSW in March and Coachella in April.

New Dead Weather Album Almost Finished

Jack White says the Dead Weather's new album could be released as early as April. "We're finishing recording the last couple of songs," he told Australian radio station Triple J earlier this week. "I'm gonna start mixing in the next two weeks." He also promised that the as-yet-unnamed album will be "bluesier and heavier than we ever thought." The quartet -- which also includes singer Alison Mosshart (The Kills), bassist Jack Lawrence (The Raconteurs), and guitarist/keyboardist Dean Fertita (Queens of the Stone Age) -- has been working on the new record since last fall.

After releasing their emotionally-charged new album in 2009, the band have been rocking nonstop, touring the U.S. and playing acoustic.

    Metallica Fans Riot in Chile

Over a hundred metal-starved fans were arrested in Santiago, Chile, Tuesday night after 2,000 ticketless people attempted to crash the gates at a Metallica concert. The show was the metal gods' first in Chile in 10 years, and drew a paying crowd of 55,000 to the Club Hípico horse-racing track. While concertgoers rocked out inside the venue, a swarm of people intent on gaining entrance trashed the streets and clashed with Carabineros, the Chilean militarized police, who doused the rioters with water and made arrests for drug possession, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness. One police officer was injured in the process. Chilean newspaper El Mercurio reported the scene inside the venue was fairly peaceful, with even a 76-year-old grandma in attendance.

New Found Glory's Gilbert Healthy After Cancer Scare

Check out a Twitpic of his bandage-covered throat here. "Laying in my recovery room... I'm ch ch chillin," Gilbert Tweeted Wednesday. "They removed half my thyroid but no cancer. WATCH: Hot Florida Rockers Surfer Blood's New Video

Floridian rockers Surfer Blood are riding a tidal wave of buzz. The quintet -- currently on a 50-date U.S. tour -- wowed at CMJ and scored high marks from SPIN with their debut album Astro Coast. Now the band has released a music video for the album's lead single, the power-poppin', guitar-centric "Swim (to Reach the End)" -- and it appears they like to beat up old people. Dressed up as ultra-creepy versions of Mickey and Minnie Mouse, two band members ferociously make out with each other in the video, then topple an elderly man over and beat him with his own walker. If that's not enough cruelty for you, a little girl's ice cream cone gets smashed onto the pavement and an environmental activist gets a tag team beat-down. All that crazy imagery is heavily in contrast with Surfer Blood's feel-good power-pop riffs and loud, hooky choruses.

LISTEN: Grizzly Bear Cover Hot Chip

A bangin' Hot Chip dance track transformed into melancholy folk? That's just what Brooklyn's Grizzly Bear managed to do during their recent trip down under, where the guys covered "Boy From School" for Australian radio station Triple J. The performance was part of the station's ongoing "Like a Version" segment, in which bands perform covers of their fave songs. The electro-pop Hot Chip tune pairs a thumping beat with smooth vocals, but Grizzly Bear's version transforms the song into something more gorgeous. Their cover is supremely mellow, anchored by wistful vocal harmonies and spare acoustic guitar. And it sounds impressively polished, especially considering the band said they've performed it just once before, during a concert in Berlin three years ago. Which version do you prefer?
