Pitts, frontman for sunny West Palm Beach indie rockers Surfer Blood on the second-to-last day of a six-week run at at EastWest Recording Studios in Hollywood. "Now we're doing the synthesizers and all the fun stuff that we don't really need."Before he gets back to running backup vocals through a Hammond organ cabinet (it will make them sound like "something off of a T. Rex record") Pitts recalls the highlights of the sessions for their as-yet-untitled major label debut, due in 2013, the follow-up to their critically acclaimed debut Astro Coast.
