    Watch Au Revoir Simone Perform!

Don't let their looks fool you -- Au Revoir Simone are more than just three pretty faces. Standing fiercely behind their keyboards during a performance at our in-office concert series, SPIN Sessions, the three Brooklyn gals laid out dreamy synth-pop bolstered by a drum machine that kept toes tapping along. Formed in 2003, the trio have garnered remix love from Hot Chip and Air, and have opened for Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. Their third disc, Still Night, Still Light promises to bring their melancholy melodies to an even wider audience. Watch the trio play two songs off the album -- "Take Me As I Am" and current single "All Or Nothing" -- below! And click here to see more SPIN Sessions, including White Rabbits, Manchester Orchestra, and Gaslight Anthem.

Hot Download: Jay Reatard's Infectious Punk Jam

Brian Wilson and Joey Ramone may seem unlikely bedfellows, but Southern punker Jay Reatard channels both on his new song "Wounded."As the second peek at his upcoming album Watch Me Fall -- its first single, "It Ain't Gonna Save Me", dropped in May -- "Wounded" hooks with an infectious, toe-tapping melody courtesy of Reatard, who combines breezy harmonies with throaty yelling like the offspring of the two rock legends. A rare acoustic-driven tune in Reatard's catalogue, "Wounded" hints at a poppier, less brash direction for the August 18 release, his first album proper since 2006's much-blogged-about Blood Visions. Download the song below. But beware -- one listen and you'll be humming along the rest of the day! LISTEN: Jay Reatard, "Wounded"(DOWNLOAD MP3)

Watch: Riverboat Gamblers Cover Prince's "Let's Go Crazy"

After accepting our invitation to contribute a cover of Prince's "Let's Go Crazy" to SPIN's Purple Rain tribute album, punk quintet Riverboat Gamblers didn't feel intimidated -- at least not a lot. "It's not like it'll reflect badly on us if our version of a Prince song isn't as awesome as his," says singer Mike Wiebe. "It's hard to screw up material like this."Artistic modesty aside, the Gamblers hold their own with their riotous cover. Guitarist Fadi el-Assad channels the Purple One with a shred-tastic solo, debunking a theory that Wiebe expressed in SPIN's July issue: "No one in our band can play guitar like that skinny motherfucker with the high voice."Check out Riverboat Gamblers' take on "Let's Go Crazy" with exclusive studio footage below. Bonus: Stay tuned to the very end to find out which of Prince's backup singers Wiebe wants to bed!WATCH: Riverboat Gamblers, "Let's Go Crazy"

Watch: Beck Covers Velvet Underground's "Waiting For My Man"

Last week, Beck unveiled a cover of the Velvet Underground's "Sunday Morning" as part of his new Record Club. He promised weekly updates covering all of The Velvet Underground & Nico, and, true to his word, the artist-cum-jukebox has posted the second tune -- a wild, unhinged rendition of Lou Reed and crew's ode to heroin dealers, "Waiting For My Man"! With Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, actor Giovanni Ribisi, Icelandic singer/songwriter Thorunn Magnusdottir and others at his side, Beck and Co. rock in dissonance and disarray, detuning their instruments -- including xylophone and sitar -- to close the song in a hyperkinetic jam. Watch the video below. Beck and band cover Velvet Underground's "Waiting For My Man"

    Snow Patrol Announce Fall Tour

If Snow Patrol aren't returning your calls, don't fret -- the Irish balladeers are busy, busy, busy. The quintet are currently opening Coldplay's U.S. tour, will hit the road with U2 this fall, and have now announced a headlining jaunt in support of their last release,2008's A Hundred Million Suns. The 22-date trek will kick off in St. Paul, MN, September 10 and lead the lads across the Red, White, and Blue, from Atlanta to Seattle, before closing out in Los Angeles October 20. No opening acts have been announced. As they proved last December, Snow Patrol are one top-notch live act, ripping out hits like "Chasing Cars" and "Crack the Shutters," an anthemic piano ballad which frontman Gary Lightbody told SPIN.com was"about the most natural thing in the world": love.
