    LISTEN: Taylor Momsen's Debut EP

Like her overambitious and wayward onscreen persona Jenny Humphrey, Gossip Girl's sixteen-year-old star Taylor Momsen definitely has more than a bit of rock star in her. The self-titled, four-track debut EP from her band the Pretty Reckless is now streaming on Billboard.com.The EP is officially out June 22.Listen now! We reviewed their debut set at NYC club Annex last year, and also their appearance at Bamboozle in May. You'd think it'd be hard to take a pubescent actress in a teen drama about gossip bloggers and Upper East Side "queen bees" seriously as a musician, but the music is making it pretty hard not to. Lead single "Make Me Wanna Die" is a snarly, Courtney Love-esque rock song, with some pretty hard guitar riffs.

Natalie Portman's Shaved Head Say Goodbye to Natalie Portman!

Natalie Portman might forever remain the muse of schizophrenic indie-rock outfit Natalie Portman's Shaved Head, but she is their namesake no longer: NPSH will henceforth be known as Brite Futures. As the Seattle four-piece have become a bigger buzz band, and as the brunette locks of the top-billed actress have slowly grown back following her 2006 role in V for Vendetta, the name change seemed almost inevitable. "Our love affair with Natalie's name was like a summer fling that lasted... and lasted... and lasted, but now it is summer once again, and time for a change," they explain. The band also posted a clever YouTube video that employed some crafty editing of Portman's performance in Closer to accompany the announcement.

    'Glee' to Add Coldplay Music

Maybe it's a bid for popularity with the jocks or a classic case of peer pressure, but Brit-rockers Coldplay have granted high school musical-comedy sensation Glee access to their entire hit-laden catalog, after initially refusing the Fox TV show's request. "At the beginning [of the series]," Glee-creator Ryan Murphy told the Hollywood Reporter, "a lot of people didn't know what we were and asked to see pages [in advance], but I refused because I didn't want to set precedent of them having any [artist] involvement. My favorite rejection was Bryan Adams.

WATCH: MGMT Practices Weird Science In New Video

Take John Hughes's 1985 cult-classic "Weird Science," add two Wesleyan-educated rockers on ecstasy and kooky French director So Me (Justice's "D.A.N.C.E."; Kid Cudi's "Day 'N Nite"), and you get the new video for "It's Working" from MGMT. The clip for the harpsichord-laden third single off this year's Congratulations features the psychedelic duo attempting to construct a giant, multi-purpose machine -- that serves as a colorizer, soft-serve dispenser, photo booth, and replicator of hot chicks -- before things begin to get out of control. The clip also features Andrew VanWyngarden as a Catholic schoolgirl -- very sexy. "In [the video], Ben and I find this box and these instructions to put together a machine that's constantly changing, and we end up losing control over it," VanWyngarden told Pitchfork."Saying this now, it sounds so metaphorical for our musical career, which is really

Conan O’Brien Rocks with Jack White

If Conan O'Brien's new late night hosting gig on TBS doesn't work out, he seems to have found a suitable back-up plan: rock star. Thursday night, after hinting of a collaboration with Jack White via his Twitter, the funnyman took the stage with White Stripes/Dead Weather frontman Jack White at White's Third Man Records in Nashville, before a crowd of 300 invited guests. O'Brien opened the show with a rendition of Elvis Presley's "Blue Moon" and played The Stray Cats' "Rock This Town," as well as a version of Willie Nelson's "On The Road Again" (changing the lyrics to: "My old show again/ I just can't wait to get my old show again"), according to the Associated Press. When Conan veered away from the setlist to play Radiohead's "Creep," White unexpectedly jumped on stage to join in.

DOWNLOAD: Wavves Returns With Cali-Punk Anthem

San Diego's Wavves, distinguished by their brand of fuzzy bedroom noise-pop and infamous for their onstage meltdown last year, have traded in the homemade cassettes for a professional studio in Oxford, Mississippi, with producer Dennis Herring (Modest Mouse, Ben Folds, Counting Crows). The result is the new single "Post Acid," an upbeat California punk anthem, more manicured than anything off last year's lo-fi album Wavves -- Download it below [via Green Label Sound]. "The last thing I wanted to do was record the same record again," frontman Nathan Williams told Pitchfork of Wavves' upcoming album, King of the Beach (August 3)."A lot of bands kind of get comfortable with something like that; once they know they've got something that some people like, they'll just go and try and recreate that. I just feel like that would've been so fucking boring to do." LISTEN & DOWNLOAD:
