WATCH: Band of Horses' Cinematic New Video

Band of Horses new video for "Laredo," a single from their latest album Infinite Arms, is a mysterious tale of lost love in the California desert, with singer-guitarist Ben Bridwell as narrator. Watch below! Shot in Pioneertown, CA (not Laredo!), the video features a collage of video desert scenes -- open highways, cacti, mountains, stars -- that accompany a loose plot about a man seeking his lost love, a woman in a bright red sundress. Footage of the quintet playing the melancholy track at local watering hole "Pappy and Harriet's" is intercut. "Oh, my love / Are you really gone?" Bridwell sings. Robert Pattinson Tells Off Courtney Love

When rumors surfaced in the Spring that Twilight star Robert Pattinson might be cast in a biopic about the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, Courtney Love loudly expressed her disapproval -- and now the big screen vampire is biting back. The English heartthrob addressed Love -- the late singer's wife and mother to their daughter, Frances Bean -- in an interview with the Daily Mirror, blasting the whole debate as "ridiculous," and saving some choice words for the Hole singer. "And you see all these comments, like from Courtney Love, saying 'What the fuck! He's totally wrong for it,'" Pattinson said. "And I'm like, 'I fucking said no, you dick!'I didn't get offered it.For one thing, I'm too tall, and I can't sing like him, I'm nothing like him! It's ridiculous." But RPatz's stance has nothing to do with his feelings about Kurt Cobain's music.

New Arcade Fire: 'Depeche Mode Meets Neil Young'

Montreal indie collective Arcade Fire will release their much-anticipated third album, The Suburbs, on August 3. What will it sound like? Well, according frontman Win Butler, like "a mix of the Depeche Mode and Neil Young." Wait. What? "That's kind of a weird combo, and if it doesn't sound weird then I think it's a success," he told the BBC. Arcade Fire are currently on tour -- watch video of their recent secret hometown show here -- and will head stateside in August for their first U.S. shows in three years, including two nights at New York City's legendary Madison Square Garden, August 4 and 5 (a second show was added after the first sold out). "We can't really pretend that no one's ever heard of us before," Butler said, alluding to the interest in their tour.

New Deerhunter Album Out in September

Indie rock busy boy Bradford Cox and his ambient punk group Deerhunter will release Halcyon Days, their fourth full-length album, on September 28 -- and they've got a clever (and possibly illegal) way to give fans a sneak peek. On the just-launched halcyondigest.com website -- which is playing a few loops of music, presumably from the new album -- Cox has posted a downloadable, old school punk rock style flyer. Deerhunter lovers are encouraged to print it out, post it somewhere in their hometown, and send a photograph of their posted flyer to flyer@halcyondigest.com. Those who send in pictures will get the first access to the album's first single and another new song that won't appear on the album. Of course, Cox and Co. are urging all participants to follow any and all local regulations for flyer posting. Halcyon Days is the first Deerhunter album since 2008's Microcastle.

WATCH: Lil Wayne Ashes Blunt in Grammy Statue!

How did Lil Wayne enjoy his final days of freedom at home in Miami? Like anyone would: by repeatedly riding the in-house elevator, posing cross-armed with his gaudy art collection, chain-smoking blunts and ashing said blunts into one of his four Grammy statues. Now that's the highlife. Tag along with Weezy's Cribs-esque video for "Steady Mobbin'," also featuring Gucci Mane, below. According to MTV, the New Orleans-bred rapper filmed the video just before he headed off to New York City's Rikers Island prison in March to begin his year-long sentence for attempted gun possession.

    Prince: "The Internet's Completely Over"

Prince's new album 20Ten may have a name of the moment, but the Purple One is leaving current technology behind in his first British newspaper interview in over a decade, telling the Daily Mirror that not only will the release be unavailable digitally, but that the Web is a thing of the past. "The internet's completely over," the "Purple Rain" singer said."I don't see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else. They won't pay me an advance for it and then they get angry when they can't get it." Prince will give away more than 2.5 million free copies of 20Ten on Saturday, July 10, when the album will arrive packaged with the Daily Mirror and Scotland's Daily Record newspapers (his 2007 album Planet Earth was released in a similar way).
