WATCH: New Video from Bloc Party's Kele Okereke

While Bloc Party takes time off after five years of intensive world touring, frontman Kele Okereke is branching out on his own with The Boxer, his dance-tastic solo debut, out June 22. Watch the video for lead single "Tenderoni" below! It's a futuristic, D'Angelo-meets-Tron dancehall dreamscape, featuring a heavy dose of rotating neon and black light, sci-fi pant-suited dancers, and Okereke doing a little shadowboxing. Okereke has also mapped a summer tour where he'll take a full band on the road through the Midwest, Canada, and the Northeast, kicking off July 23 at the Metro in Chicago and wrapping August 7 in D.C. See the full itinerary below. What do you think of the Bloc Party man's new sound?

    WATCH: New Silversun Pickups Video

Los Angeles quartet Silversun Pickups just released their new music video for Swoon single "The Royal We," and if it reminds you of the classic videos from the 1990s, well, there's good reason. For the new video, Silversun Pickups recruited director Matt Mahurin, the man behind some of the most iconic clips from the '90s: Metallica's "Unforgiven," Alice in Chains' "No Excuses," Soundgarden's "The Day I Tried to Live," and others from R.E.M., U2, Cowboy Junkies, and more, all of which have a few commonalities: blurry images, slow-mo footage, loose and arty narratives, and close-ups of disturbing characters, like toothless old men. The video for "The Royal We" achieves the same bizarreness and simplicity with repeated close-ups of the band's members spliced with blurry colors, rippling camera effects, and flashes of surreal imagery: giant scissors sticking into a garden, floating flowers

Roger Ebert Reveals Lost Sex Pistols Screenplay

Prompted by the recent death of Sex Pistols manager and punk honcho Malcolm McLaren, film critic/writer Roger Ebert recently posted an unfinished film script he wrote for the pioneering English punk band in the summer of 1977. Read Who Killed Bambi? here, on Ebert's Chicago Sun-Times blog. Melding the style of the Beatles' humorous mock documentary A Hard Day's Night with the filth and ideologies of the punk explosion, the film -- originally titled Anarchy in the U.K. -- was to be produced by McLaren and directed by Faster, Pussycat! mastermind Russ Meyer. Ebert claims to have posted the screenplay "for the benefit of future rock historians," but the writer is less than certain about what he wrote in the first place: "I can't discuss what I wrote, why I wrote it, or what I should or shouldn't have written," he writes.

WATCH: Pearl Jam Join Conan O'Brien Live!

Conan O'Brien's "Prohibited From Being Funny On Television Tour" hit Seattle Monday night on the ex-Tonight Show host's 47th birthday, and Coco brought along a few surprise guests to celebrate: Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder and guitarist Mike McCready! Vedder took the stage solo with a mandolin and ukulele ("small instruments create the illusion that you're tall, which is completely shattered when you're next to Conan," EdVed quipped) to perform "Rise," from his Into The Wild soundtrack, and John Lennon's "Oh Yoko" (with tailored lyrics, "Oh Conan"). Then McCready and the former Tonight Show band joined Vedder to play the Who's classic tune "Baba O'Riley." Watch video of all three below. The birthday boy seemed overjoyed by the addition of Pearl Jam, who were the first band to perform on the short-lived Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien.

"[The clip depicts] a struggle between the purities of my past life and what this new life has to offer," Drake told MTV. SPIN's 2009 Rapper of the Year has already amassed a lot of hype for someone without an official release.

WATCH: Slash, Wolfmother Frontman Rock 'Leno'

Slash and Wolfmother guitarist/vocalist Andrew Stockdale turned the volume way up on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno Tuesday night. The duo -- supported by a three-piece band -- ripped through by "By The Sword," the lead single off the ex-Guns N' Roses shredder's debut solo album, Slash (out now), with a bearded Stockdale's high-pitched vocals wailing over a frenzy of guitar riffs -- the polar opposite from Wolfmother's recent acoustic set at SPIN HQ. The performance is just the latest in whirlwind of appearances the top hat-sporting guitarist will make in support of Slash in the coming months, including an April 10 gig at the Roxy in Los Angeles and a sold-out May 22 set in Atlantic City, NJ. Slash recently spoke to SPIN.com about the new record, which features an all-star cast of collaborators, also including Ozzy Osbourne, Iggy Pop, Kid Rock, Fergie, and Dave Grohl.
