    Polyphonic Spree, Ghostland Observatory Headline SoCo Tour

    Southern Comfort presents an awesome tour featuring performances from Polyphonic Spree, Ghostland Observatory, DJ Lord of Public Enemy, and the Hold Steady.     Video! Major Lazer Join Bacardi B-Live Tour in Philly

    The Bacardi B-Live Tour made two more stops last week in New York City and Philadelphia. On Wednesday, June 17, the tour was at the M2 Ultra Lounge in NYC. DJ AM, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Drop the Lime, and Auto Erotique captivated the audience with their energetic performances. Two days later, on Friday June 19, the tour made an appearance in Philly at the Electric Factory. This stop featured Major Lazer (a.k.a. hometown heroes Diplo and Switch), Drop the Lime, and A-trak. The following day, Saturday June 20, the tour made a stop in Washington, DC at the Northeast hot spot the Rock N Roll Hotel. Our cameras caught the backstage scene.     Video! Backstage With Trouble Andrew

    Combining hip-hop, punk rock, and crazy antics, Trouble Andrew (a.k.a. pro snowboarder/skateboarder Trevor Andrew) is an up-and-coming vocalist backed by his band, The Trouble Gang. We tagged along with Andrew as he opened the June 13 stop of the Bacardi B-Live at St. Louis hotspot, the Pageant. Santigold, MSTRKRFT, and Amanda Blank also performed.     SPIN Editor Selects Top 10 Submissions in MLB 2K10 Band Search

    This past month, hundreds of bands entered into the SPIN/MLB contest to win a chance to have their song featured on the new Major League Baseball 2K10 video game. The online challenge set out to find the next breakout rock act worthy of being featured on the game's soundtrack. Our judges include Hold Steady vocalist Craig Finn, Minnesota Twins first baseman Justin Morneau, and SPIN editor Doug Brod. They've whittled down their favorite tunes from all the submissions, and soon, it'll be up to you -- the reader -- to vote and help us pick a winner whose song will appear in MLB 2K10! Check out Doug Brod's top 10 picks below. His playlist ranges from indie to glam-rock to post-punk, any of which would certainly amplify the new video game soundtrack.

    Nico Stai Wows Private Burberry Party at Milk Gallery

    Nico Stai performed a special acoustic solo-set May 29 at a chic, intimate celebration in honor of "Burberry Day" at New York City's Milk Gallery. Part of a series of events honoring Burberry's influence on New York fashion, the downtown soiree was attended by fashionistas and other A-listers, including hockey star Sean Avery, actresses Catherine Keener and Tara Subkoff, and photographer Greg Kadel. Compared to artists such as Pete Yorn and John Mayer, Stai -- performing solo and acoustic -- captured the attention of guests with his soothing vocals and garage rock sound.
