Exclusive Song: NOFX Dis Tegan and Sara

Forget George W., NOFX have a new target: Tegan and Sara, the Canadian duo of singing lesbian twins, who get dissed in "Creeping Out Sara," a track off California pop-punk band's new record, Coaster (out April 28). Over three silly minutes, NOFX vocalist Fat Mike tells a tale of meeting one of the sisters backstage at a festival in Germany, but not being able to tell which one. After realizing that he's talking with Sara (he heard Tegan was "the cooler one"), he proceeds to completely "creep" her out by asking if she knows where to score some pills or cocaine -- and if she's ever engaged in sexual acts with her sister (yuck!). To top it off, Mike manages to include a bevy of lesbian-related pop-cultural references, from Angelina Jolie's 1998 HBO film Gia to crooner K.D. Lang. Hate the lyrics?

Mars Volta on New Album: "It's Mellow"

Load the bong: The Mars Volta are back with a new album -- and according to singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala, the former prog-rockers are exploring their soft side. "It's more mellow. It's a little more of what we consider our 'acoustic' side," Bixler-Zavala told Australian radio station Triple J of the new record, called Octahedron, which will be released June 23 via Warner Bros. Its first single will be "Since We've Been Wrong." "We know how people can be so linear in their way of thinking, so when they hear [the new album], they're going to say, 'This is not an acoustic album! There's electricity throughout it!' But it's our version," the singer said. "That's what our band does -- celebrate mutations.

Rivers Cuomo, Rainn Wilson Cover Joan Osborne

Judging by their geeky fashion sense alone, Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo and The Office star Rainn Wilson go together like pocket protectors and.... pockets. Which is why their musical collaboration, captured on video below, is pretty phenomenal. The duo recorded a cover of "One of Us," a '90s radio hit by pop-blues singer Joan Osborne. Their take on the deity-questioning tune is relatively straightforward -- but Wilson's turn on percussion is a funny surprise. "I'm a pretty mean bongoist," Wilson explains, and we definitely agree. Watch video of the duo recording and goofing off in the studio below. Or if you want to go straight to the song, fast-forward to the 4:42 mark. In related news, Cuomo is guest-hosting a show on Sirius Radio's Alt Nation at 8 p.m. tonight with actor (and pal) Jason Schwartzman. The show reairs Saturday at 3 P.M., 9 P.M., and Sunday at 9 A.M. and 6 P.M.

Method Man and Redman Return with New Album

Patience is a virtue. 10 years after the release of Method Man and Redman's classic album, 1999's Blackout!, the blunt-smokin' hip-hop duo have finally unveiled Blackout 2 (out May 19). But why the decade-long wait? "I had obligations. Doc had obligations. There were things going on [with] the label. Staff changes," Method Man told MTV.com of the album's delay. "We were venturing, starting other careers. We can't just depend on this rap game. We did a movie, TV show -- venturing out. Now we back. We ain't left. We're coming at the right time." The pair leaked the music video for the song "Ayo" yesterday, and just finished a clip for "Miss International," which is expected to drop soon. "We're dedicating [the song] to the women, whether you're fat, ugly, skinny -- it don't matter.

3 New Songs: Ryan Adams Goes Metal

Three months ago alt-country hell-raiser and Mandy Moore's hubby Ryan Adams announced his retirement from music. Well, it seems the joke's on us: Adams has now returned with three new tunes as Werewolph, the name of his sometime metal side-project. Adams, who released an album of Werewolph tunes in late 2006 called Feel the Laser, just launched a new Werewolph website where he posted the three tracks, including "Evil Weekend," "Mega Wizards," and "Dead People Unite," which has creepy lyrics: "Everybody smells like rotten meat / We're the maggot police, eating brains / Ripping people's eyes out when they try to use the Stairmaster." Visit werewolph.com to hear all three songs. Adams posted videos for some of the tracks on his personal website yesterday, too.

Listen to No Doubt's 'Gossip Girl' Tune!

No Doubt will perform their cover of Adam and the Ants' "Stand and Deliver" on the May 11 season finale of the hit TV show Gossip Girl. But why wait a month to hear the track? SPIN.com has it right here, right now! Below, listen to the band's version of the '80s punk classic, which finds the SoCal quartet reworking the gritty original into a super-sleek new-wave cut with glossy electric guitars, synths, and frontwoman Gwen Stefani's girlish vocals. The original's tribal drums, however, remain intact, as does the song's intro of a horse snarling near its master -- an 18th-century highwayman who robs from the rich and gives to the poor. Although No Doubt haven't released an album since 2001's Rock Steady, they are busy prepping for a lengthy summer tour with Paramore, including a stop at the Bamboozle Festival May 2-3 in East Rutherford, NJ.

SPIN Sessions: The Gaslight Anthem Unplugged

It's easy to draw a line from the soulful punk rock of New Jersey-bred band the Gaslight Anthem back to fellow Garden State hero Bruce Springsteen. But vocalist/guitarist Brian Fallon cites another seminal influence -- from the Land of 10,000 Lakes, no less. "I don't think there would be a Gaslight Anthem without the Replacements," Fallon said during his recent performance at SPIN's NYC office, before opening with an acoustic cover of the Minnesota indie band's "Left of the Dial," from 1985's Tim.

Conor Oberst Releases Free Documentary Film

Before Omaha indie boy wonder Conor Oberst releases Outer South, his second album with the Mystic Valley Band (out May 5), he will drop a behind-the-scenes film (out April 15), which follows him and his band over the past 18 months. The best part? It's totally free! One of My Kind was directed by Oberst's guitar-tech, Phil Schaffart, and follows the group from the recording of their debut in Tepoztlán, Mexico, to the end of their tour at Sonic Ranch Studios in Tornillo, TX, where the six-piece tracked the bulk of Outer South. It will be available as a free stream or HD download, courtesy of social networking/charity website Causecast. Fans are urged to donate to one of Causecast's numerous charities. The 60-minute doc will also be hosted on Conoroberst.com and IFC.com, as well as the singer/songwriter's U.S. label Merge and U.K.
