    Sneak Peek: Blink-182's New Video!

For the first time in six years, Blink-182 are up to something... something very interesting. In a recent post to his blog, bassist/vocalist Mark Hoppus unveiled a series of photos showing the band performing in front of a green screen. It's the first time the trio has been photographed together, behind their instruments, since announcing their official reunion at the Grammys. But what's up with these photos? Is this a music video for a new song, as scores of fans speculate online? Not sure. It's a mystery. But Hoppus, without spoiling the surprise, does provide a few details. "It's definitely not what it seems to be," Hoppus told MTV.com. "It's not really a music video shoot, and it's not really a movie shoot. It's something that no other band has done, and the technology behind it is ridiculous.

    Vampire Weekend Talk New Album

Indie sensations and former SPIN cover boys Vampire Weekend are hard at work in Brooklyn, NY, recording their sophomore album for a tentative September release. And according to frontman Ezra Koenig, they're expanding upon their tropical Afro-pop stylings. "There are going to be new sounds," Koenig told Entertainment Weekly of the album, which will be produced by the band's own keyboardist, Rostam Batmanglij. "We're trying to challenge ourselves not to use the same bag of tricks that we used on the first album -- different instruments, stuff like that." Meanwhile, Batmanglij has been keeping busy with a new side-project as well: He moonlights as one half of electro-R&B band Discovery, which features Ra Ra Riot's Wes Miles on vocals. Unreleased Against Me! Album Due in July

Against Me!'s 2007 release New Wave nabbed SPIN's Album of the Year stamp, and thrust the foursome into the rock limelight with its politically-charged lyrics and punk ferocity. And while the band prep its proper follow-up, they're holding us over with a special eight-song EP, out July 7 via Fat Wreck Chords. The Original Cowboy EP was recorded in July 2003 as a demo for producer Rob McGregor (Hot Water Music, Alkaline Trio), who worked with the band on their full-length studio album, As the Eternal Cowboy. It features eight previously unreleased demos, plus alternate versions of many songs that made the cut for Cowboy. "Having already recorded our first full length album and two previous EPs with Rob at Goldentone, we wanted to do something different for our second full length," frontman Tom Gabel explains in a post on the Fat Wreck website.

Live Nirvana DVD Due in November

There are great performances, and then there are legendary performances -- and Nirvana's set at the U.K.'s Reading Festival in 1992 is without a doubt the latter. And now, just weeks after the 15th anniversary of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain's suicide, it has been announced that the grunge band's record label, Universal Music, will release a DVD of the entire set. The release, Live at Reading, has been officially approved by the surviving members of Nirvana -- bassist Krist Novoselic and drummer Dave Grohl -- and will drop this November. In addition to the band's full performance, which includes Cobain wheeling onstage in a wheelchair, plus covers of Boston's "More Than a Feeling" and "The Star-Spangled Banner," the DVD will feature bonus, never-before-seen footage. [Via NME] Can't wait until November?

Eminem's Album Cover: High on Pills

The cover art for Eminem's long-awaited comeback album, Relapse, has been unveiled -- or should we say prescribed? The cover, posted to Em's Twitter feed yesterday, is a mosaic of various-colored pills that join together to form the pasty hip-hop star's face -- and the prescription-drug references don't stop there. A faux medicine bottle label affixed to its lower-left corner states, "Prescribed by Dr. Dre," with Relapse's May 19 release date as the time for a "Refill." It bears more than a slight resemblance to the cover of T.I.'s 2008 album Paper Trail -- which isn't entirely surprising, since Em recently expressed his respect for T.I. while discussing the state of hip-hop with XXL: "Without naming any names, it just felt like hip-hop was going downhill. And it seemed fast...But with this new T.I.

First Listen: Wolf Parade Side-Project Sunset Rubdown

Hot New Band: Love Language Party Hard

With a killer self-titled debut album and a seal of approval from SPIN, up-and-coming indie-pop band the Love Language has earned the right to make like Wayne's World and "Party on!"Which is exactly what the six-piece do in this video for their new track "Sparxxx." As hipsters chug from liquor bottles concealed in paper bags and chow down on cake, the band -- performing in the middle of the dance floor -- get feet movin' with their melodic electric guitars and charmingly ramshackle beats. Frontman Stuart McLamb might howl emotional lines like, "Left my heart in ruins / All my thoughts just ran apart like a pack of restless children," but there's lots of love in the air among the partiers in the clip.Check out the clip below. Then party like it's 2009 in the comments section. The Love Language, "Sparxxx" More The Love Language on SPIN.com:>> Hot New Band: the Love Language
