Hear Meg Myers' Lovelorn Reflection on 'The Morning After'

Meg Myers seethed, "Baby, I want to fuck you / I want to feel you in my bones," on "Desire," a (clearly) no-nonsense single from her upcoming Make a Shadow EP. Now, the Nashville-bred, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter has followed that conquest with "The Morning After," another track from her new short-player, out February 11 via Atlantic Records. As its title suggests, "The Morning After" deals with next-day regret and, fittingly, the grit and aggression that fueled "Desire" has subsided, allowing for a quiet, twinkling ballad. "I can't feel anything the morning after you," Myers sings over acoustic guitar. "And I can't tell anyone the morning after you."Listen to the confessional below, and head over to iTunes to pre-order the Make a Shadow EP.

Tony Molina Fires Off 'Dissed and Dismissed' Stunner 'Nowhere to Go'

Tony Molina's debut solo album came out around this time last year, but it's already getting the reissue treatment. On March 25, Slumberland Records will release Dissed and Dismissed in cassette, digital, and vinyl formats to supplement its sold-out initial pressing. The filler-averse LP burns through 12 tracks of power-pop brilliance in 12 thrilling minutes. (It's telling that Dissed and Dismissed features a Guided By Voices cover.) Molina broke out one gem from the full-length back in December ("Change My Ways"), and now he's let go of another, the 50-second shredder "Nowhere to Go."Stream the song below, pre-order Dissed and Dismissed through Slumberland, and get better acquainted with Molina by reading SPIN's 2013 piece, Meet Tony Molina: Bay Area Hardcore Veteran Unfurls Decadent Guitar Pop.

Police Recover Stolen $5 Million, 300-Year-Old Stradivarius Violin

A nearly 300-year-old Stradivarius violin that was stolen in a January assault has turned up. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that police discovered the instrument, which dates back to 1715 and is valued at $5 million, in a suitcase in the attic of a Milwaukee home. Cops arrested three suspects — two men, ages 36 and 41, and a woman, age 32 — on Monday afternoon. The three are still in custody. The theft went down on January 27, when Frank Almond, concertmaster of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, was attacked with a stun gun after performing a chamber concert with the violin at Wisconsin Lutheran College. Local law enforcement authorities teamed with agents in the FBI's Art Theft Program and members of Interpol (not that Interpol), and, with information from Taser International, were able to track the stun gun to one of the three suspects, Universal Allah.

Roomrunner Reboot for a Dynamic New EP

"I'm not going to lie — at first, I was kind of weirded out by these songs," Roomrunner drummer Bret Lanahan says, lounging on a couch in Baltimore recording studio the Magpie Cage. "They're a lot prettier.""It's still very much us," frontman Denny Bowen says of this fresh material, which will fuel an upcoming, currently untitled new EP. "It's just a different us. There's a dynamic range to us now. It's not just full-on, rip-your-skin-off-type bullshit."To date, feedback-juiced noise-rock has been Roomrunner's forté, as heard on the group's gut-punch of a debut album, Ideal Cities, which arrived in May 2013 via Fan Death Records. But this fall, the foursome — Lanahan, Bowen, guitarist Jeff Byers, and bassist/producer/engineer Dan Frome — retooled their creative process.

Watch Warpaint Play Four Bewitching Songs in France

SPIN recently shadowed Warpaint as they made their way around New York City, visiting the American Museum of Natural History, stopping by radio show KEXP, and playing an intimate gig at Brooklyn's Union Pool. The latter two activities were done in support of the all-female quartet's second album, the just-released Warpaint (the museum trip was more recreational, in case you were wondering).

Watch Jerome LOL Clear History in Crowd-Sourced 'Deleted' Video

Back in November, Los Angeles beatsmith Jerome LOL dropped "Always," a shuffling collaboration with singer Sara Z that appears on Jerome's Deleted/Fool EP. Now, the full four-track effort is out via Bandcamp, and the Body High label head has paired it with a bit of fan service. As Fader points out, the man known IRL as Jerome Potter has shared a music video for the EP's semi-title track, the (once again) Sara Z-assisted "Deleted." The visual acts as a spiritual sequel to the much beloved visual for "Changes," from Jerome's former outfit LOL Boys.Just as "Changes" cobbled together snippets of Mac users filming themselves with Photo Booth, "Deleted" compiles crowd-sourced, meme-fluent footage. (Note the cameo by Drake's Nothing Was the Same mug.) But what could easily be written off as an empty hodgepodge of clips takes on extra heft when paired with Sara Z's robo-addled vocals.

Stream Noah Gundersen's Powerful Debut Album 'Ledges'

Singer-songwriter Noah Gundersen has three EPs to his name — 2008's Brand New World, 2009's Saints and Liars, and 2011's Family — but the 24-year-old has yet to put out a proper full-length. That'll change on February 11, when the Washington native releases Ledges, his debut album. The upcoming LP was recorded in Seattle's Studio Litho, the homebase of Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard, and was crafted with the help of Gundersen's sister, Abby (who supplies violin, cello, and piano), and his younger brother, Jonathan, who plays drums. Ledges spans 11 tender tracks and weaves together tales of faith, temptation, redemption, death, and doubt, offering the kind of perspective usually found in much older tunesmiths."I'm not a religious person anymore," says Gundersen, who grew up in a rigidly religious household.
