Stream Double Dagger's Schizophrenic Swan Song 'Heretic's Hymn'
"But if this is my last song / These are the last words I ever write," Double Dagger vocalist Nolen Strals speak-sings on "Heretic's Hymn," the closing track off the now-defunct post-hardcore trio's upcoming 333 "I hope you won't forget / You're only free making art outside."Those words actually became the last ones Strals would proclaim on record as frontman for the Baltimore outfit, which disbanded in 2011. Since then, Double Dagger's members have separately joined up with Roomrunner, Peals, and Pure Junk, but the Maryland bruisers will revisit their glory days on Record Store Day (April 20) by issuing the six-track 333 collection, along with If We Shout Loud Enough, a documentary that follows the three-piece's final tour.Stream the schizophrenic "Heretic's Hymn" — part slam-dance shout-along, part winding instrumental — below. Watch Julian Lynch's 'Donnie Darko'-Tinged 'Gloves' Video
Julian Lynch told SPIN back in December that much of the music intended for his just-released Lines LP ended up on the cutting-room floor. "I’ve never worked this long on a record," he said. "As soon as I finish recording one, I’ll usually give it to the label and then it’ll be on its way to being released. Whereas, with this one, most of it has been done for so long that I’ve had a while to sit on it and decide whether or not I like all the things on it as much as I thought I did. As it turns out, I’m going to throw away pretty huge chunks of it." Thankfully, the Real Estate affiliate held onto the Phil Elverum-esque "Gloves," otherwise we wouldn’t have the track's bizarre Sarah Kinlaw-directed video. The two-and-a-half-minute clip follows a young woman’s attempts to bring her stuffed rabbit companion to life.

The Knife Dissect 'Shaking the Habitual' in Sprawling Short Film
The Knife unsheathed their Essential new album, Shaking the Habitual, today (April 9), and to commemorate the 98-minute full-length's release, sister-brother duo Karin Dreijer-Anderson and Olof Dreijer have shared a 13-minute video that acts as a companion to their Silent Shout follow-up. Directed by Marit Östberg — who also helmed the Swedish pair's NSFW "Full of Fire" clip — the above piece is labeled "The Interview," but it actually functions as a meandering collection of footage (various shots of graffiti, dance clubs, clouds, and rainy streets), snippets of Shaking the Habitual songs, and audio of the band discussing their latest effort."We want to question the Knife," Dreijer-Anderson says. "We made up our own sound sources.
