In My Room: Grouplove's Christian Zucconi and Hannah Hooper

It's been a whirlwind few years for Grouplove. Between recording, touring, more recording, more touring (this could keep going, but you get the idea), the road is more a home for the charismatic indie pop troupe than, well, their actual homes."We've been living in this house for two years now," Hannah Hooper explained, standing on her porch overlooking Los Angeles' Silverlake neighborhood, "and this is the first time we've actually lived here. I'm excited to finally get to explore LA." She laughed, but it was clear she was ready for a bit of stability, if only for a short while. After intensive touring, the band's taking a year-long road hiatus while Hooper and fellow Grouplove songwriter/beau Christian Zucconi try their hands at writing a musical score.

    In My Room: YACHT

YACHT's Jona Bechtolt and Claire L. Evans are far from stationary. Even when they're not on the road (which is rare these days), the duo spend their time planning intricate stage shows and designing vibrant art to parallel their thought-provoking music.Four days after returning from their latest tour, the avant-pop twosome invited SPIN into their Los Angeles house to check out their home studio, peep some interesting fan-made art and discuss their upcoming EP, Where Does This Disco? (due out 11/11 on Downtown Records). Read on to experience an interactive photo tour of the band's house, complete with captions from Bechtolt and Evans themselves. We used a Lytro camera, so you can zoom and focus in on different elements of each image."This is the second Shangri-LA sign we've had in our house, I broke the first one. It was blue.

RZA, The Hood Internet, Tinashe, and More Collaborate on EP Series

Dr Pepper's one of a kind taste has made its way into the recording studio. Through an artist pairing series One of a Kind Studio Sessions, the lauded brand recruited a variety of producers like hip-hop legend RZA, mash-up masterminds The Hood Internet and indie god Dave Andrew Sitek to record songs from scratch with artists of all genres, including Robert DeLong, Tinashe, RAC and Rockie Fresh.SPONSORED: This post brought to you in collaboration with our friends at Dr Pepper.

Watch Tinashe Discuss Collaborating with RZA, The Hood Internet, and David Andrew Sitek

As a singer-songwriter, Tinashe has worked with a slew of producers; however, nothing can compare to the opportunity Dr Pepper's One of a Kind Studio Sessions gave her. As part of their artist pairing series, the up-and-coming vocalist was able to collaborate with heavyweights like RZA, The Hood Internet, and David Andrew Sitek to create one of a kind tracks from scratch with each of them.Comedian Grant Cotter recently visited the Dr Pepper /1 Studio to chat with the singer about her experience working with the three lauded producers. Watch them discuss the collaboration process, Tinashe's prolific recording habits, and her equally awesome dance moves in the video above.

Check Out David Andrew Sitek and Tinashe's 'One of a Kind' Collaboration

David Andrew Sitek and Tinashe shake hands and get right to work in Los Angeles' Paramount Studios, which has been transformed into the Dr Pepper Studio. As they begin going over beats, they make conversation and get to know each other - this is the first time the famed producer and up-and-coming vocalist have ever met, and they're about to record a four-track EP together from scratch. This is part of Dr Pepper's artist pairing series, Dr Pepper Studio Sessions, and the twosome prove that the collaborative spirit is still very much alive. They begin with a simple melody - Tinashe sings without defined words over one of the chosen beats - and once recorded, Sitek leaves her to do her thing in the control room. With lyrics completed, the two continue building, adding layers to the song that grew into a one of a kind collaborative EP.

Watch the Hood Internet and Rockie Fresh Discuss Their One of a Kind Collaboration

Aaron Brink (ABX) and Steve Reidell (STV SLV) are no strangers to the indie rock and hip-hop scenes. As The Hood Internet, the Chicago-based duo has been creating genre-defying mashups and releasing mixtapes since 2007. More recently, Brink and Reidell have been flexing their producer muscles, and that couldn't be more evident than in their contributions to Dr Pepper's One of a Kind Studio Sessions. Acting as producers to other One of a Kind Studio Sessions artists like RAC, Robert DeLong, Tinashe, and Rockie Fresh, the two-piece prove that there's much more to their art than finding the common denominator between Phantogram and Lil Wayne. Comedian Grant Cotter recently visited the Dr Pepper / 1 Studio to get the inside scoop on the process behind "We Run It," The Hood Internet's One Of A Kind track with rapper Rockie Fresh.

One Of A Kind Collaboration: The Hood Internet and Robert DeLong Discuss The Process Behind Their New Joint Effort

"The future's open wide," emanates through the speakers in Hollywood's Paramount Recording Studios, which has morphed into the Dr Pepper Studio, and the phrase becomes a sort of mantra for the day. The Hood Internet's Steven Reidell and Aaron Brink have been working in the studio with Robert DeLong all day, and by the afternoon this verse becomes the production focus. They have never met before, let alone worked together, but in this one-of-a-kind lounge, none of that matters.
