Smoosh Schools SPINhouse Live

SPINhouse Live's smallest guests deliver a big, big performance.

After the swelter lifted off New York City, a cool rush of air blew in from the West last night, and with it came the freshest kids on the left side of the Mason Dixon: Seattle's own Smoosh graced Spin headquarters with their drum kit and keyboards and proceeded to rock SPINhouse Live No. 11.

Mixel Pixel, 'Contact Kid' (Kanine)

Mixel Pixel is like an overly decorated t-shirt, one that started out as a pristine white t-shirt. Sure it was simple, but it was classic. Both the band and the actor have a dry, almost effortless sense of humor that radiates from their music and persona (respectively).

A River Rocks Through It

It was a dark and steamy night on Pier 54 when the nubile young bands Rock'n'Roll Soldiers, OK Go, and the perennial favorites the Donnas rocked the stage to a near-capacity crowd of adoring fans at the second installment of Hudson River Rocks, presented by Spin.
