    WATCH: Arcade Fire Play New Songs at Tiny Gig

    Arcade Fire played their first live concert in a while Friday night at an old mansion in their hometown of Montreal. Their audience: about 50 very lucky fans, who watched as the band debuted tracks from their August 3 release The Suburbs.

    LISTEN: Gaslight Anthem's Entire New Album!

    Gaslight Anthem couldn't wait any longer to reveal their new album, American Slang. The New Jersey rockers have posted their third studio album online a week before its June 15 release. Listen over at NPR!. The Gaslight Anthem will tour all summer long in support of American Slang -- the band's first release since 2008's The '59 Sound -- including a stop at Bonnaroo this week. Download the title track of American Slang, plus songs from other acts performing at the Tennessee fest, with SPIN's free Bonnaroo Mix-Tape. Back in 2009, Gaslight Anthem stopped by SPIN HQ to play an unplugged set featuring the "The 59 Sound" and "Old White Lincoln," plus a cover of the Replacements' "Left of the Dial."     Yeasayer Schedule Fall Tour Dates

    Yeasayer's already lengthy world tour just got a lot longer. The Brooklyn-based band just added two months to their schedule, including a visit to Europe and 11 U.S. gigs in September and October. The band has been touring ceaselessly since the February release of their new album, Odd Blood, which SPIN called a "masterful mash-up of '80s synth pop and tribal-beat tickles." SPIN contributing writer Chris Martins reviewed the opening date of the band's tour at Los Angeles' Natural History Museum. "Each member of the five-piece seemed responsible for his own small arsenal of instruments and equipment and if the effect was overwhelming, it was almost always in the best way," he wrote of the show, which rattled the bones of the dinosaur exhibits.

    Dirty Projectors Cover Dylan, Nas Does Slick Rick

    Some of today's hottest musical acts are paying tribute to their favorite artists in Levi's new performance series, Pioneer Sessions. Dirty Projectors, Nas, She & Him, and the Swell Season are among the acts picked by Levi's to cover classic songs that influenced their music. The latest installment: Brooklyn's Dirty Projectors, whose cover of Bob Dylan's "I Dreamed I Saw St. Augustine" was posted Thursday.

    Pixies Schedule U.S. 'Doolittle' Dates

    After a sold-out 2009 world tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their influential 1989 album Doolittle, the Boston-bred alt-rockers are extending the party into this coming fall with an 11-city U.S. tour kicking off on September 7 in Philadelphia. England's two-piece electronic group Fuck Buttons will open each show. Ticket pre-sale begins on June 7 via Pixiesmusic.com. Each show on the Doolittle tour will be recorded and available to purchase on CD immediately after the gig (wow -- that's fast!), or later ordered online via Doolittlelive.com. SPIN contributing writer Kevin Bronson reviewed the opening date of the Pixies' first Doolittle tour last November at the Hollywood Palladium.
