Dave Grohl Traumatized by Scissor Sisters' 'Balls'

What could possibly provoke Dave Grohl to sue Scissor Sisters, their label, management company, and wardrobe department, Ticketmaster, and the venue where he recently saw the Brit band perform, for a total of $75 million? Well, Sisters frontman Jake Shears' bare testicles. In this joke clip posted to the Sisters' website, Grohl -- sitting in his home studio -- explains his case to "Scissor Sister News" anchor Lester Zizmore, claiming a recent wardrobe malfunction at a stop on the band's world tour has left him traumatized, experiencing "bouts of anxiety, panic, chills, and explosive diarrhea." "It started getting really hot in there," explained Grohl, between fits of gagging and crying. "Then Jake Shears took off his clothes. Then I saw his testicles... I saw his balls! Every time I blink my eyes I still see Jake's nuts. Is $75 million going to make that go away?

HEAR IT: Kings of Leon's New Cali-Pop Tune!

As they gear up for the October 19 release of their new album Come Around Sundown, Kings of Leon recently dropped a video for "Radioactive," the hot lead-off track that shows the Followills haven't forgotten about their humble Southern roots. But a new track that leaked over the weekend suggests the band is going in a direction that's as sunny and mellow as the album's cover art. "Beach Side" is three-minutes of laid-back California-style pop, with a crisp backbeat, chiming guitar riffs, and psychedelic atmospherics. Hear it below. Before heading off to Europe for a fall tour, the Kings will play three East Coast dates in November, including a November 16 show at New York's Madison Square Garden. Check out dates here.

WATCH: Apache Beat's Trippy New Video

On their debut album Last Chants, Brooklyn's Apache Beat weave a vibrant patchwork that captures the eclectic, chaotic energy of New York: tribal beats, serrated, post-punk guitar riffs, and shouted vocals that call to mind pioneering new wave acts like Talking Heads. Apache Beat called on their fellow New York friends in the Yeah Yeahs Yeahs, Lightspeed Champion and the Rapture to contribute cameos to the disc, which makes the band's music come on like the soundtrack to some drug-fueled, late-night downtown party at 3AM. Apache Beat's debut doesn't hit stores until October 5, but SPIN has an exclusive clip of the group's psychedelic video for standout single "Another Day." Check it out below.Apache Beat recruited British video artist Cherise Payne to produce the clip, which mashes trippy screen-saver-style visuals with footage of old art-house movies that she found on a VHS cassette.

DJ Shadow Delivers Two Free Tracks

DJ Shadow won't release his still-untitled new album until next year, but the artist has unveiled two new songs, "Def Surrounds Us" and "I've Been Trying." The tracks are available as free downloads here. On "Def Surrounds Us," Shadow offers up an epic, seven-and-a-half minute groove inspired by dubstep and drum and bass with ominous vocal samples warning "though we are alive, death surrounds us." "I've Been Trying," on the other hand, might be one of Shadow's most pop-oriented tracks ever: a pretty, three-minute ballad with soulful vocals, jazzy flutes and a rootsy, acoustic guitar riff. DJ Shadow originally released the tracks as part of a larger project, in which he hid copies of the songs in record shops throughout Eastern Europe while on his international tour. The singles were delivered in limited pressings and each copy has unique cover art that's hand-drawn by Shadow.
