Rihanna Talks About Chris Brown Assault

Rihanna is breaking her silence. For the first time, she will speak on camera about her assault by R&B singer Chris Brown. EXCLUSIVE: Person L's Awesome First Single

At age 25, most musicians would feel lucky to have made it once. Kenneth Vasoli hopes to do it twice. After three albums and loads of touring, his band -- the successful pop-punk quintet the Starting Line -- decided to go on hiatus in 2008 so its members could pursue new exploits. Vasoli was back home in suburban Philadelphia, writing songs in his basement. A four-minute burst of creativity and one guitar hook was all the spark he needed to put the Starting Line behind him and to forge ahead with his new band, Person L. The resulting song, "Untitled," is available for download below. "I go through this thing every few years where I feel like I need to stir the pot of my life and swirl everything around so I can't recognize it any more," Vasoli tells

WATCH: Weezer + Meester = Weester?

Weezer sure have a penchant for odd collaborations. They invited Gossip Girl Leighton Meester onstage during their NYC Halloween show to perform their Ratitude hit "(If You're Wondering if I Want You To) I Want You To." The move comes after a string of recent Ratitude couplings, where the band has reached out to the likes of Lil Wayne and Kenny G. Check out the video below, as Cuomo and Meester trade lead vocals. The Telletubbies rocking in the crowd seem to be enjoying it. Meester actually has a music career of her own; she released a single featuring Robin Thicke earlier this year. So maybe this live collaboration is a sign of future collaborations between the two. Hey, you never know with Weezer. The crowd seems to be pretty into it. And after the performance, Meester tweeted, "Holy shit. @riverscuomo is perfection in a bottle." Radical Weezer awesomeness?

DOWNLOAD: The Lawrence Arms' Exclusive Bonus Track!

Chicago trio the Lawrence Arms' rowdy fist-pumping tunes have made them a staple on the punk scene over the past decade. And while "Demons," a track from their upcoming Buttsweat & Tears EP (out Oct. 27 via Fat Wreck Chords), is a bit more straightforward rock'n'roll than most of their last record, it's no pushover by any means.

In Allen's new video for "Who'd Have Known" (watch below), a track off her latest album, It's Not You, It's Me, the fashion-forward songstress transforms into an obsessed groupie who wants the piano man all for herself. So, Allen, who's no stranger to having her way, locks Mr. John in a limo and drives him to her flat, where she ties up the squirmy Brit and force-feeds him pizza. Yum! DOWNLOAD: Vampire Weekend's New Single!

New York's Polo-sporting pop masters Vampire Weekend are back, and they're dipping their ladle even deeper into a mishmash of cross-cultural influences on "Horchata," the first official release from their forthcoming sophomore set, Contra (out Jan. 12 via XL Recordings). The song is available as a free download right here. The track is a total globetrotter, both sonically and lyrically. Ezra Koenig's reverb-drenched vocals lead a bubbly brew of sub-Saharan rhythms, marimbas, flutes, strings, and tabla-esque percussion -- plus name-checks of fruity Latino beverages (horchata, aranciata), Holy Land sites (Masada), and beachy images of sandals and pincher crabs. Decidedly missing: audible guitars.
