  • Morrissey Nobel Peace Prize Video Lou Reed Irish Blood

Watch Morrissey's Set for the Nobel Peace Prize Concert

Above you'll find Claire Danes and Aaron Echhart introducing Morrissey and his band at the 20th Annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo. The performance took place on Wednesday night in the Norwegian capital, and Moz wasn't the only musician onstage. Also scheduled to perform were Jake Bugg, Omar Souleyman, Timbuktu, Mary J. Blige, James Blunt, Zara Larsson, and Envy. For his part, the formewr Smiths singer performed his newer song "People Are the Same Everywhere," his cover of Lou Reed's "Satellite of Love," and 2004's You Are the Quarry standout "Irish Blood, English Heart." For reasons unexplained, his entire band wore blue Hustler shirts. Of course, it's possible that further details were given, and edited out after the fact (Autobiography, ahem).

  • Wooden Shjips 'Everybody Knows' Video Back Land

Wooden Shjips Visit Westeros for 'Everybody Knows' Video

The psychedelic fuzz-merchants in Wooden Shjips have shared another visual for their freshly released fourth album, Back to Land. While the Thrill Jockey-signed quartet went surreal-yet-straight-faced for the titular track's video — therein, a private detective investigates a town full of clowns — the clip for "Everybody Knows" is a flight of fantasy. Director Austin Will fills the frame with wild horses and forest nymphs and incredible vistas, creating a scene that wouldn't look out of place in a Game of Thrones episode. Via Stereogum. The deluxe version of Back to Land, which features bonus track "These Shadows (Acoustic Version)," is available now on iTunes.

  • Blood Orange 'West Drive' Samantha Urbani Stream Dub

Hear Blood Orange's 'West Drive,' a Gauzy 'Cupid Deluxe' B-Side

Blood Orange is apparently sitting on a treasure trove of unreleased material that didn't make the cut for his excellent outsider-R&B opus Cupid Deluxe. In sharing "West Drive (Profit Vocal Dub 2)" today on SoundCloud, Dev Hynes wrote, "There are literally 7 versions of this song. This is 1 of roughly a million cuts that didn't make it onto the album." Girlfriend and Friends singer Samatha Urbani reprises her role as go-to ladyvoice on the new one below, providing coos and moans that complement the gauzy, purple fuzz-funk soundscape.

  • Kelis Food Album Ninja Tune Sitek

Kelis Signs With Ninja Tune for 2014 'Food' Album

Kelis will return in 2014 with a brand new album titled Food, out April 28. That's news enough considering the kaleidoscopically inclined R&B-maker's last LP was 2010's Flesh Tone, but more interesting still is the fact that she's signing with Ninja Tune, the beloved U.K.-based independent label most closely associated with the left-field electronica and breakbeat movements of the early '90s.And though it's been the year of Pharrell — and the Neptunes wrote Kelis' most well-remembered hit "Milkshake" — Kelis is following her artier instincts regarding the new album's production, continuing her collaboration with TV on the Radio member Dave Sitek, who's also helmed albums for Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Liars, and Foals. Back in April, the pair shared their "Jerk Ribs" single, though the song's since disappeared. In other news, Kelis has her own sauce line called Feast, via Vibe.

  • Roc Marciano Action Bronson Marci Beaucoup 456 Stream

Roc Marciano and Action Bronson Glide Like a Ferrari on '456'

It wasn't enough for Roc Marciano to rank on SPIN's 40 Best Rap Albums of 2013. The Long Island MC/producer returned yesterday with Marci Beaucoup, a crime-universe-in-record-form that looped in a few other Year in Hip-Hop honors-holders. The mighty Ka appears (on Twitter, Roc says the Brownswood artist named the LP) and so does Action Bronson, whose Blue Chips 2 was No. 13 on our list. His contribution can be heard below — "456" features a slow-stuttering soul beat and more Grade A raps from the food-obsessed Queens loudmouth. Marci, for his part, slinks between measures of the beat, perfectly at home.Roc Marciano, Marci Beaucoup track list:1. "Intro2. "Love Means" (feat. Evidence)3. "Squeeze" (feat. Ka & Guilty Simpson)4. "456" (feat. Action Bronson)5. "Drug Lords" (feat. Knowledge the Pirate)6. "Dollar Bitch" (feat. Maffew Ragazino)7. "Didn't Know" (feat.

  • Disclosure Settle Special Edition Apollo Video Remixes

Disclosure Preview 'Settle Special Edition' With 'Apollo' Video

Disclosure were at the helm of SPIN's Trend of the Year, but the U.K. house-pop duo aren't done delivering gifts in 2013. On December 16, the Lawrence brothers' Essential debut album Settle will spawn the Settle Special Edition, an 18-track set featuring a handful of remixes, along with new song "Apollo" (see the minimal video for that above) and "Together," their recent collaboration with Nile Rodgers, Sam Smith, and Jimmy Napes.Correction: The 18-track Settle Special Edition is a U.K.-only release, out December 16. A 15-track Settle - The Remixes U.S. release will arrive on December 17, featuring the same songs minus the two "Boiling" remixes and the "Control" remix. Some of the versions have been heard before, including reworkings by Joe Goddard (Hot Chip), Hudson Mohawk (TNGHT), Paul Woolford, Baauer, and Flume, among others.

  • Britney Spears Garth Brooks Eminem Billboard Charts

Garth Brooks Covers Album Trounces 'Britney Jean' in First Week Sales

First! Well, we might as well get it out of the way. Garth Brooks is No. 1 for Blame It All on My Roots: Five Decades of Influences (146K), a Walmart-exclusive six-CD/two-DVD box set selling for $24.96 — at that price, discount deboned meat to a pack of pot-bellied hyenas, basically. The most significant bit here: It's the Okie's ninth time topping the Billboard 200, which means he's tied with the Rolling Stones on that front, trailing only the Beatles (19), Jay Z (13), and Elvis Presley and Bruce Springsteen, who've landed 10 each. Far more important is who's not scoring a new No. 1 this week.2 to 10: That'd be Britney Spears, namely. Her pretty gosh-darned atrocious new album Britney Jean starts at No. 4 with 107K sold. That's pretty pitiful lined up next to 2011's Femme Fatale, which debuted at No. 1 and 276K.

  • The 25 Most Memorable Quotes of 2013

The 25 Most Memorable Quotes of 2013

While it's tempting to devote a good third of this list to the various things we heard the fox say, in 2013, plenty of humans in the world of pop music had insane, inane, inspired, and insufferable quotes of their own to share. We combed through legal documents, Twitter beeves, radio rants, onstage outbursts, interviews, and official statements in order to bring you this definitive, 25-strong rundown of SPIN's Year in Quotes.

  • Pacers Danny Granger Holy Grail Justin Timberlake Jay Z

Pacers' Danny Granger Sings 'Holy Grail' While Justin Timberlake Applauds

On Tuesday, the Indiana Pacers went up against the Miami Heat and won, but there was another victory at the Indianapolis arena. As part of a headphones giveaway, Pacers forward Danny Granger was given a challenge: sing a song with the jam-cans on and blaring, and if teammates George Hill and Paul George can name the tune, a dude in the crowd wins the product. The song: Jay Z's "Holy Grail" featuring Justin Timberlake. As it turns out, a bearded Timberlake was in the audience, watching the whole thing go down. As Granger sung out of key and his buddies got into it, JT listened intently and then gave a standing ovation. Watch above for now. If that clip is pulled down, visit the Pacers' official site. • Cibo Matto Hotel Valentine MFN Video Tour Album

Cibo Matto Return With Wild New 'MFN' Video, Album News

After 15 years of effective silence, Cibo Matto are returning in a big way. The Shibuya-kei crew have announced a new album, shared a new music video, and released new tour dates all in one fell swoop. Above, you can watch Miho Hatori and Yuka Honda shred, rap, pop, and groove in the Georgia-directed clip for "MFN," a wonderfully colorful sensory overload that is perfectly matched to the wild and swaggering song. (Watch in HD.)The new single finds Cibo Matto in top form, which is good since on February 14, it'll arrive attached to nine other tracks. The New York duo's third album will be called Hotel Valentine and its song titles stick with the theme (as do the "MFN" protestations about room service).
