LISTEN: Best Coast Thank Fans With New Song

Attention Best Coast fans: Singer-guitarist Bethany Cosentino loves you. In fact, she loves you so much she gave you a song. To mark her 50,000th Twitter follower, Cosentino posted "How They Want Me To Be" online -- listen here. The rough demo is everything we love about Best Coast, especially the yearning vocal melodies and comforting lyrics: "When I wake up in the morning or in the middle of the night / I look at you, and I know it's all right." "You guys have been some of the most wonderful fans this past year, and I want to thank each and every one of you for supporting Best Coast," Cosentino wrote.

Tommy Stinson Returns With Solo Album

Tommy Stinson is best known as a founding member of the Replacements, but next month, he'll return with his second solo album, One Man Mutiny, and SPIN is premiering one of the standout tracks, "Meant to Be." Tommy Stinson, "Meant to Be" (DOWNLOAD) Stinson delivers a bright, poppy rocker featuring gorgeous boy-girl harmonies and swooning slide guitar. That's his fiancé Emily Roberts singing in the background, and while Stinson's lyrics have a dark take on relationships - "It's about the awkward and tragic side of dating people you shouldn't be trying to date," he tells SPIN - it doesn't sound like there's any trouble in his own personal life. "I really think that Emily's background vocal idea set in motion a new direction for the entire record," he says.

WATCH: Poly Styrene's Michael Jackson Tribute

The third solo album by British punk icon Poly Styrene, Generation Indigo, dropped just one month before her death this past April. One of its best tracks, "Ghoulish," is inspired by another death -- Michael Jackson's. And now the two are memorialized in the track's new video, starring a motley cast of MJ impersonators. Before her death, Styrene, the former leader of pioneering punks X-Ray Spex, discussed the track in a YouTube interview. "There were all these pictures of [Jackson], and the nose had fallen off, and the white face, and the ghoulishness," said Styrene, who had never met the "Thriller" singer. "I see through that; he was probably quite a nice guy." The lyrics to "Ghoulish" mirror her sympathy: "I can see through your disguise / I can see you're quite a nice guy," she coos.

Black Lips Fly High in New Clip

On their latest album Arabia Mountain, garage punks (and SPIN cover stars) Black Lips hired debonair producer Mark Ronson to develop a more polished, sophisticated studio sound. But they're still the same jokers at heart -- as the video for "New Direction" proves. Watch it here. Literally building off the song lyric "Going on a vision quest / Surf the mountain, ride the crest," the band members jam out while soaring over mountains, sometimes accompanied by a stuffed monkey -- thanks to green-screen technology. With its purposeful DIY feel, it's a cheeky reminder of the group's history of lo-fi crazy. Check out the clip, and watch our behind the scenes video from the Lips' SPIN cover shoot, featuring guitars on fire, Jackass-style stunts, and more! Black Lips, "New Direction"

On his new self-titled LP, he recruits Little Dragon's YukimiNagano for "Wildfire" -- a track Drake liked so much he threw his own verse onit. The video just dropped, and it's hot. Like, really hot. The clip focuses on a woman in a room, feverishly sweating and writhing on a bed.
