Considering Bumbershoot's ever-expanding, eclectic lineup -- not to mention other local oddities like the Green River Killer, the Sasquatch, and the Aurora Bridge's Troll -- Seattleites are certainly accustomed to a little weirdness.

The movie adaptation of the Chuck Palahniuk novel will also feature tunes from Death Cab for Cutie, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Ben Kweller, and many more.

Contrary to internet murmurs earlier this week, Radiohead won't be providing the entire score to the movie adaptation of Choke, a novel by Fight Club author Chuck Palahniuk.

It's easy to imagine the men of schizoid country-rock outfit Blitzen Trapper as werewolves: They possess split personalities (check) that alternate between the gentle and the manic (double check) while sprouting unseemly hair in the process (indeed, much of the band sport furry beards).

New Blitzen Trapper Album Out September 23

The lo-fi Portland sextet follows their 2007 breakout album, Wild Mountain Nation, with a new offering for Sub Pop entitled Furr.

After soldiering around the Northwest's dingiest club corners, indie rockers Blitzen Trapper have finally graduated as they prep the release of their Sub Pop debut, Furr, due September 23.
