The thunderous country-rockers and Foo Fighters collaborators in Zac Brown Band recently announced another album called Jekyll + Hyde for next month. As this week’s Saturday Night Live guests, they had the opportunity to preview a couple of disparate tracks that seem to show off both sides of the Jekyll/Hyde divide, with help from another ’90s rock icon.

The first cut they performed on the Chris Hemsworth-hosted episode was titled “Homegrown,” a relatively standard number for the country-rock crew with Brown himself toting an acoustic guitar. But things were a little different for the second number “Heavy Is the Head,” presumably the “Hyde” segment of the evening, during which Soundgarden‘s Chris Cornell joined the band on guitar and vocals, while Brown donned a feather in his cap. You can check out that performance above, and “Homegrown” below. Jekyll + Hyde is out April 28.
