Carl Terrell Mitchell, better known as MC Twista, has diversified his hustle, adding a fresh vehicle for his writing and opinions — a column in a major publication. According to AllHipHop.com, the rapper has signed on to pen a weekly column for the RedEye, a free daily publication owned by the Chicago Tribune targeting the 18-to-34-year-old readers. The column, the latest in Twista’s many ventures, will feature his thoughts and opinions on various current topics and will also offer readers and fans the ability to submit questions which will be addressed in the column.
But Twista hasn’t completely traded in the mic for the pen. His seventh album, Adrenaline Rush 2007, is set to drop this Aug. via Atlantic. “Give It Up,” the album’s first single featuring a cameo from Pharrell, will hit radio waves this April.
