Here's how Tegan Quin would like this to go down -- we start with the basics: She plays with her sister Sara in a band called Tegan and Sara, they sing catchy songs about relationships, they're from Canada and they like hockey (go Flames!). "Journalists always blow their load in the first paragraph," she says, sipping water at a bar in downtown Vancouver.

Tegan and Sara's new album is all about interpersonal tug-of-wars -- the occasionally opposing forces of remaining true to oneself and another -- but there was no doubt Sunday night that the band and their fans were all pulling in the same direction.

The wait is over -- almost. While Tegan and Sara's sixth album, Sainthood, which was among our picks for this season's most important albums, won't be available for purchase until Oct.

After receiving near unanimous praise for 2007's The Con -- including four of five stars from SPIN -- Tegan and Sara are gearing up for the October 27 release of Sainthood by unveiling the album's cover art and tracklist, plus the first dates of their fall tour.
