The Stargazer Lilies are a crew of nu-shoegazers headed by singer-bassist Kim Field and guitarist/drummer/producer John Cep, both formerly of the disco-informed five-piece Soundpool. Now, Field and Cep channel the reverb-washed slo-mo assault of Slowdive and the sparkling ambiance of Air into a lush, guitar-swollen whole. On September 10, the Stargazer Lilies will issue their debut album, We Are the Dreamers, a full-length that comes “curated” by Tobacco, the mischievous psych-pop mastermind behind Black Moth Super Rainbow.
