Sneak Peek: Danger Mouse, Sparklehorse, David Lynch's 'Dark Night'
Last month a mysterious poster arrived at the SPIN office advertising Dark Night of the Soul, a new album presented by Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse, featuring vocals from the likes of Iggy Pop, Frank Black, Flaming Lips, and the Strokes' Julian Casablancas (set for a July release).

Shins Frontman Talks New Lineup, Album
Two longtime members of the Shins were notably missing from the band's recent Washington State tour-opener. Bassist/keyboardist Marty Crandall was replaced by Ron Lewis (Fruit Bats, Grand Archives) and drummer Jesse Sandoval by Modest Mouse's Joe Plummer.

The Shins Kick Off U.S. Tour
The Shins' new tour, a 12-city nationwide swing that's their first in over a year, got off to a soggy start Saturday night in Bellingham, WA. While most of the band's gigs will be in relatively intimate clubs, this concert took place in Western Washington University's central quad, Red Square. Outdoors. In the Pacific Northwest. Yes, it rained. A lot.
