Priestess Frontman Gets Nerve-y at Nashville Pussy Show

There’s something about Buffalo and ’70s-style cock rock. Power-rock bands whip the city’s audiences into a frenzy unlike any other bands, and Wednesday night’s Priestess/Nashville Pussy show at Nietzsche’s was no exception, as both bands incited excessive headbanging from the crowd. Priestess lead singer Mikey Heppner, whose band have played sold-out shows from New York to Los Angeles, told SPIN.com bringing the noise to Buffalo is actually intimidating. “I’m actually pretty nervous,” he said. “Every time we’ve played here has been awesome. The energy…just amazing. Buffalo’s one of my favorite cities to play,” he said. EVAN PARKER PIERCE
