Notorious B.I.G.’s Alleged Autopsy Report: Four Gunshots, Only One Fatal

Notorious B.I.G. at the 1995 MTV Awards

More than 15 years after the Notorios B.I.G. was shot to death in Los Angeles, details continue to emerge about the unsolved murder. Now TMZ says it has the late Christopher “Biggie Smalls” Wallace’s previously unseen autopsy report. It’s morbid viewing, detailing the wounds that killed the 24-year-old rapper.

Make that “wound.” Though Wallace sustained four gunshots — all of which first went through the passenger door of a Chevy Suburban — only one proved fatal, according to the report. The deadly bullet, “Gunshot #4,” went through his right hip and tore through his colon, liver, heart, and part of his left lung before ending up around his left shoulder. If you must know, “Gunshot #1” hit him in the left forearm, “Gunshot #2” went through his back, and “Gunshot #3” went through his left thigh. TMZ quotes the report as saying this gunshot struck “the left side of the scrotum, causing a very shallow, 3/8 inch linear laceration.”

Wallace is listed as 6′ 1″ and 395 pounds, and a note under “Other Pertinent Information” reportedly says, “Decedent may be rap singer.” The coroner described Wallace as “morbidly obese.” The report showed that a test for drugs or alcohol came back negative. Though doctors conducted what was reportedly an emergency thoracotomy at Cedars-Sinai Hospital, at 1:15 a.m., Wallace was pronounced dead.
