'Gossip Girl': The Music Grows Up -- OMFG!
The show has moved smartly from radio hits to indie discoveries. But SPIN's Abby Everdell says the new soundtrack album proves there's still room to mature.

In anticipation of this week's episode of Gossip Girl, I spent a few minutes surfing its music channel on YouTube, where the featured songs of each episode are posted along with a short description of the various scenes (e.g. "Chuck and Nate lounge in grass").

This week we launched an all-new daily feature on SPIN.com -- an opinionated (and humorous) editors' blog. Nevermind the sophomore slump, psychedelic Brooklyn duo MGMT are pushing full speed ahead with the follow up to their debut, Oracular Spectacular, planning a collaboration with Brit electro-dance act the Chemical Brothers "to create a different sound," MGMT's Ben Goldwasser says.
