Evanescence Add Members, Auctions Records

Following the whirlwind Evanescence news of late, including the mysterious departure of two band members — drummer Rocky Gray and guitarist John LeCompt — and frontwoman Amy Lee’s marriage to her therapist, Evanescence has now announced their replacements — Dark New Day drummer Will Hunt and guitarist Troy McLawhorn, who will join the lineup for band’s summer tour, MTV.com reports. “I am a big fan of Dark New Day and can’t wait for the fans to see what the guys bring to our live show,” Amy Lee reportedly said in a statement.

In related news, ex- Evanescence sticksman Gray, possibly in a gesture of love for his former band, has placed his six gold and platinum discs awarded for the success of 2003’s full-length debut Fallen and 2006’s The Open Door for sale via eBay. Each auction has opened at $500 and no bids have yet been placed. Ouch.
