In a truly misguided method of getting attention, London rapper Dappy got a hashtag symbol tattooed on his face. Why? “The reason I got a # Tatted on my FACE was simply 2 make sure IT stays trending 4 ever,” he said on Twitter. He followed that with a crying-laughing emoji.
Apparently the N-Dubz member didn’t do much research before getting inked. As Buzzfeed reported in March, Twitter may do away with hashtags for good, with one top employee calling them “arcane.” But hey, at least Dappy didn’t go for an AOL Keyword search term.
