Hey, music fans born in 1983 or earlier, get ready to feel old.
Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz turns 50 today. We know this because AARP magazine, the publication brought to you by the group formerly known as the American Association of Retired Persons, tweeted the following cover mock-up (courtesy of Deadspin and SPIN legend Rob Harvilla). It’s true that Duritz is indeed still rocking — and still rocking those Predator dreads — as the Crows are about to release their seventh album, Somewhere Under Wonderland, in September. So, this is your reminder that August and Everything After came out 21 years ago, and we’re all just taking part in the inexorable march towards death. Cheers!
