Stream Color War’s Sleek, Synth-Powered Debut ‘It Could Only Be This Way’

color war, it could only be this way, album, stream

Color War recently teased their upcoming debut album with an ornate music video for “SOS,” pairing the glossy, electronic brooder with a set of ceremonious, mystic-tinged visuals. Now, as the March 4 release date for It Could Only Be This Way comes ever closer, the Brooklyn-based duo — composed of Justin “Billy J” Lin and Lindsay Mound, two visual artists-turned-musicians — has pulled the curtain back on their first full-length effort. On the way via the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse label, the LP serves up a stark combination of elaborately arranged synths, bare-bones beats, and vaporous vocals, making for a 12-track set that lingers long after it fades into darkness.

Stream It Could Only Be This Way below, and pre-order the album through the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse store.
